52-year-old Henrico woman struck and killed on Azalea Avenue

A 52-year-old woman was killed after being struck by multiple vehicles Nov. 18 in Northen Henrico County.

Camilla Dawn Nichols, of Henrico, was in the left westbound lane of Azalea Avenue when she was struck by a Hyundai Sonata around 10:45 p.m., Henrico Police said. Two additional vehicles subsequently struck her as well, they said.

Police and fire crews responded to the intersection of Azalea Avenue and Sandpiper Drive and found Nichols dead at the scene.

The drivers of the vehicles remained at the scene in the Fairfield District to cooperate with investigators, police said. Speed and alcohol were not factors on the part of the drivers, they said.
