5 wheelchair tennis players from Team USA to compete in River City Slam tournament at Collegiate School

The tournament, hosted by local adaptive sports club Sportable, is designed to provide a high-level competitive environment for wheelchair tennis players. The event will feature more than $5,000 in prize money and is open to all levels, including first-time players.
The five players – junior players Charlie Cooper, Tomas Majetic, and Max Wong and professionals Jason Keatseangslip and Connor Stroud– recently represented Team USA at the BNP Paribas World Team Cup in Turkey. Cooper, Majetic, and Wong were all members of the U.S. team that finished runner-up in the competition 12 months ago, while Wong is the reigning USTA junior and senior national champion.
The tournament is one of 160 wheelchair tennis tournaments held around the world each year as part of the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour. The River City Slam is open to all levels, including first-time players, in USTA divisions A, B, C, D, Quad Open, and Juniors and ITF divisions Men's Open, Women's Open, Quad Open, Junior Boys and Junior Girls and will offer more than $5,000 in prize money. During the past three years, the tournament has attracted more than 100 players from 26 states from California to Virginia. The USTA entry deadline is May 29, and registration is available at Sportable.org.
