5 Henrico polling places set to be temporarily moved

Table of Contents

Henrico's Board of Supervisors tonight is expected to approve the temporary relocation of five Henrico polling places for the June 23 primary election, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The five spots all are located within long-term care communities, and given the concern for the health of residents of such facilities (who are more at-risk for the virus) and safety of voters, officials have proposed moving them for this election only.

The five precincts (and their proposed new temporary locations) are:

• Canterbury (which would move from Westminster Canterbury House to Belmont Recreation Center);

• Oakview (which would move from Chestnunt Grove Assisted Living Facility to Brookland Middle School);

• Stratford Hall (which would move from ManorCare Stratford Hall to Moody Middle School);

• Cedarfield (which would move from Cedarfield to Pocahontas Middle School);

• Laburnum (which would move from Mountain of Blessings Christian Center to Montrose Elementary School).
