On Sept. 23, Full Circle Grief Center will host its 4th Annual Miles in Memory Remembrance Walk/Run at Deep Run Park. Walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels are invited to honor the memory of a loved one by participating in person or virtually. Participants can set a customized distance or time-based goal for the walk or run, such as a birthday, anniversary or other number with personal significance, to commemorate their loved ones.

The celebration will kick off at Shelter 1 and 2 beginning at 11 a.m., with remarks and a collective remembrance activity.  In-person VIP ticket holders will have access to an earlier, grief-inspired yoga practice at 10 a.m. on the grassy lawn beside the pond. The walk/run will begin at 11:30, and the event will conclude with a collective remembrance activity beginning at 12:30.

Founded in 2008, Full Circle is a Richmond-based nonprofit with a mission to provide bereavement resources in the community.  All earnings from the event help fund grief support groups, educational programs and outreach groups so that they can remain free of charge. Full Circle also offers individual counseling and grief therapy, through insurance as well as a reduced rate.
