4 injuries reported after Henrico school bus struck by car

Four people suffered minor injuries after the Henrico school bus in which they were riding was struck by a car that ran a stop sign Mar. 1 in Highland Springs.

It happened at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of North New Avenue and East Vine Street, where Henrico Police officials said a Hyundai sedan failed to obey a stop sign and crashed into the bus, which had 18 passengers at the time. Four were injured and transported to local medical facilities for treatment.

The driver of the Hyundai was charged for failing to obey the stop sign.
