32-year-old man killed in crash after other driver suffers medical emergency

Kodie Aaron Riner, 32, of Bumpass, was pronounced dead at the scene after the Mitsubishi Mirage he was driving northbound in the 3000 block of Parham Road was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound at about 8:20 p.m. Aug. 5.
When police arrived, they found both vehicles on the northbound side of Parham Road. The driver of the Jeep and its passenger remained on scene, and the driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of the medical emergency that occurred.
