3 more COVID-19 deaths reported in county

New COVID-19 data released this morning from the Virginia Department of Health showed that three more people have died in Henrico from the virus, including the third victim under the age of 60. That person was in his or her 50s.

In total, the county now has 98 deaths – just more than half of which are among people 80 or older. Henrico is up to 846 confirmed cases of the virus among the 3,025 people who have been tested, an overall infection rate of 28 percent.

Of the 115 new test results announced in the county today, only 11 were positive.

Statewide, more than 85,000 residents now have been tested and nearly 15,000 have tested positive, for an overall rate of about 17 percent. Among the 2,734 new test results announced today, about 22 percent were positive – down from 31 percent of yesterday’s new results.
