Henrico Schools officials have reported 22 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at 18 schools and school facilities since Jan. 4. Most were reported among people last inside buildings Dec. 18, the last day before winter break. Only two involved people in a building later than that (in both cases Dec. 22).

Included among the new cases were three at Trevvett Elementary School in Lakeside and two at Pinchbeck Elementary School in the West End – all five cases occurred in people last in their respective buildings Dec. 18.

Among schools to report cases this week, only Ward Elementary had not previously reported a case since Aug. 12.

Other new cases were reported at Ashe Elementary, the Eastern Henrico Government Center (where the school system’s administrative offices are located), the Facilities Department, Gayton Elementary, Glen Allen Elementary, Henrico High, Hermitage High, Holladay Elementary, Lakeside Elementary, Longdale Elementary, Pemberton Elementary, Rolfe Middle, Twin Hickory Elementary, Varina High and Wilder Middle.

In total, the school system has reported 159 cases in 63 schools and school facilities since Aug. 12. The only schools not to report cases since then are Davis Elementary, Glen Lea Elementary, Kaechele Elementary, Mehfoud Elementary, Sandston Elementary, Hungary Creek Middle, Pocahontas Middle and Tucker High.
