21-year-old Richmond woman shot and killed in Henrico

A 21-year-old Richmond woman was shot and killed in the early morning hours of May 19. It happened in the 3400 block of Howard Road, near Ratcliffe Elementary School, at about 3:40 a.m.
When Henrico Police arrived, they found Diamond Renee’ Cox on the ground outside an apartment building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Police began life-saving measures until EMS officials arrived to transport the victim to a local hospital, where she died.
