2 water main breaks disrupting traffic on Lauderdale Drive

Two water main breaks are disrupting traffic on Lauderdale Drive in Henrico’s Far West End Wednesday.
One occurred on the northbound side of Lauderdale between Francis Drake Drive and Gayton Road. All northbound traffic on Lauderdale is being detoured along Ridgefield Parkway to Gayton Road.
The other also occurred on northbound Lauderdale at John Rolfe Parkway. Traffic is being detoured down John Rolfe Parkway to Gayton Road. Detour signs have been posted.
Henrico officials reported that the process of repairing the breaks will be a lengthy process. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes and avoid the area.
