Students at two Henrico County schools will host spring plant sales this month.

The events will take place April 25 and 26 at the Advanced Career Education Center at Hermitage High School, and April 27 and 28 at the Advanced Career Education Center at Virginia Randolph. The sales will feature a large selection of student-grown flowers, vegetables, herbs and hanging baskets at terrific prices. Both sales will feature selections of native plants to help turn gardens into havens for pollinators and other wildlife.

The Hermitage event will include premium student-grown plants, such as a variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs, including native plants. Prices range from $1.50 to $16 each. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. The event will take place each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the center, 8301 Hungary Spring Road. Because of construction, customers should enter the Hermitage High School campus from East Parham Road, using Hermitage High Boulevard, across from the Henrico County Western Government Center. Parking for the sale will be in the first lot on the right, behind the school.

The Virginia Randolph event will feature a number of summer vegetables, herbs, annuals and perennials, including native plants. Prices range from $2 to $15. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, and culinary students will be selling barbecue, burgers, fries and drinks both days from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., while and masonry students will be selling concrete garden pieces. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. The center is located at 2204 Mountain Road in Glen Allen.
