2 Glen Allen men face charges related to October homicide

Tauric Lentrell Cobb, 18, and Erving Maurice Barnes, Sr., 37, have been charged in the shooting that killed 27-year-old Aarin Lamaurice Anderson of Henrico Oct. 10 off Brookwood Glen Drive. Cobb faces charges of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and two counts of attempting to possess/distribute a Schedule I drug, while Barnes faces a charge of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute a Schedule I drug.

The shooting occurred in the area of Telegraph Road and Brookwood Glen Drive. When police arrived, they found Anderson suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation by Henrico Police found that the two men fled to North Carolina following the shooting. Last week, Henrico detectives traveled to Garner, North Carolina, where they took the men into custody with the assistance of the Garner Police Department and its regional SWAT team.
