18-year-old Henrico man arrested in shooting death of 19-year-old

An 18-year-old Henrico man is under arrest, charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a 19-year-old in Henrico April 22.
The victim, Timothy Hicks, was shot inside a residence in the 3700 block of Whitlock Avenue in Henrico (near the intersection of Laburnum Avenue and Mechanicsville Turnpike) sometime before 11 p.m. that day. Hicks was transported to VCU Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds and later died there.
Henrico Police investigated and discovered a crime scene at the residence, then arrested William Lamonte Johnson, who faces a second-degree murder charge and a charge of using a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Henrico County jail.
